Section A – Overview

This Privacy Notice explains how Nextu collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app. Nextu is designed as a local photo timeline and collage tool, and its core features are intended to work primarily on your device. We aim to keep your information under your control and to collect only what is needed to provide app functionality, improve stability, and support purchases and customer requests.

By using Nextu, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

Section B – Face Data / Biometric Information

Nextu does not use facial recognition, biometric identification, or biometric authentication features. We do not create face templates, facial embeddings, or other biometric profiles. If any image is temporarily processed by the app for layout, collage, or preview generation, that processing is limited to the intended rendering task and is not used to identify a person. Any temporary processing data is deleted after the task is completed.

Section C – Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Information you provide: photos you take or choose, app content you create, settings you select, and optional support messages you send to us.
• Information collected automatically: device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash information, diagnostic logs, and basic usage signals needed to operate the app.
• Purchases and entitlement data: information related to in-app purchases processed through Apple, such as transaction status and product entitlement.
• Cookies and similar technologies: if our website or support pages use cookies or similar tools, they may be used for basic site functionality, security, and preferences. The app itself is designed to operate without advertising cookies.

Section D – AI Processing

Nextu does not use any third-party AI services to process user data. Any AI-related or automated processing, where applicable, is performed exclusively on our own internal servers. Such processing is limited to app functionality and operational tasks and is not used to build user profiles, train external models, or provide advertising. Temporary processing data is deleted after the task is completed, and user content is not retained for model training.

Section E – How We Use Information

We use information only for legitimate app and service purposes, including:

• Providing timeline browsing, collage generation, and monthly wall creation.
• Saving and displaying content you create within the app.
• Supporting purchases, access control, and transaction validation.
• Maintaining security, diagnosing crashes, and improving reliability.
• Responding to support requests and handling account-free app operations.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, resale, or external marketing. We do not use your data for AI training, model optimization, or any unrelated purpose.

Section F – Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. If we make material changes, we will post the revised notice in the app or on the relevant support page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of Nextu after an update means you accept the revised notice, to the extent permitted by law.

Section G – International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries or regions different from where you live, including locations where our internal infrastructure or service providers operate. When this happens, we take steps to protect the information through contractual safeguards and security controls designed to keep the data protected during transfer and processing.

Section H – Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, limited internal access, logging, and secure operating practices. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Section I – Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the app and meet operational or legal requirements:

• Uploaded or selected content: processed for the requested feature and deleted after processing when it is only needed temporarily for that task.
• Generated results: collage and monthly wall outputs may be stored in your app history until you delete them, and you can remove them at any time.
• Crash logs and diagnostic records: retained for up to 12 months.
• Support messages: retained for up to 6 months after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is required by law.
• Temporary processing data: deleted after the relevant processing task is completed.

You may also clear app data through the app’s settings, which removes local records stored on your device, subject to any data that must be retained by Apple or under applicable law.

Section J – User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or limit certain processing of your information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, or to ask questions about your information, contact us at the email address listed below. If we need to verify your request, we may ask for limited information to confirm your identity and protect your data.

Section K – Children's Privacy

Nextu is intended for users aged 17 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible.

Section L – Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party except as necessary to operate the app or as required by law. We do not use any third-party AI services to process user data.

Any third-party service we use is limited to infrastructure, hosting, storage, payment, or similar basic operations and acts solely on our behalf and under our instructions. Such providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and are not permitted to use user data for advertising, profiling, AI training, model optimization, redistribution, their own purposes, or independent access to user content.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Nextu, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice and agree to the collection, use, and handling of information described here. If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, you should not use the app.
